The nominations for the 21st Annual OFTA Film awards were announced on Sunday, January 22, 2017.
Best Picture nominee La La Land led the field of nominees with 16 followed by Moonlight with 12 nominations. The eight other films nominated for Best Picture are Arrival, Fences, Hacksaw Ridge, Hell or High Water, Jackie, Lion, Manchester by the Sea and Nocturnal Animals. All five Best Director nominees were on this year’s Best Picture slate, the nominations going to Damien Chazelle, Tom Ford, Barry Jenkins, Kenneth Lonergan, and Denis Villeneuve
The winners will be revealed on Sunday, February 5, 2016.
