The nominations for the 26th Annual OFTA Television Awards have been announced.
Best Drama Series nominee Stranger Things earned nineteen nominations this year, tied for the most nominated program of the season. Also tied was the Best Drama Series nominee Succession followed by Best Limited or Anthology Series nominee The White Lotus with 16 nominations.
Comedy series Only Murders in the Building and drama series Squid Game tied for fourth place with 15 nominations each.
Competing against Squid Game, Stranger Things, and Succession for Best Drama series are Better Call Saul (13), Euphoria (9), Loki (7), Severance (10), and Yellowjackets (10).
Joining The White Lotus in the limited or anthology series category are 1883 (9), American Horror Story: Double Feature (5), Dopesick (14), The Dropout (5), Impeachment: American Crime Story (5), and Pam & Tommy(8).
In Best Comedy Series, Only Murders in the Building was nominated alongside Abbott Elementary (11), Barry (12), Ghosts (3), Hacks (11), Reservation Dogs (5), Ted Lasso (14), and What We Do in the Shadows (8).
The Best Motion Pictures nominees are Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers (1), Fire Island (1), Psych 3: This Is Gus (1), South Park: Post Covid (1), and Zoey’s Extraordinary Christmas (1).
The winners will be announced on Sunday, October 2, 2022.
