The winners for the 30th Annual OFTA Television Awards have been announced.
Widow’s Bay, which received a total of 12 awards, was the most honored program of the year. It won Best Comedy Series along with prizes for stars Matthew Rhys in Lead Actor and Stephen Root and Kate O’Flynn in the supporting categories with Betty Gilpin as Guest Actress. It also received awards for Best Casting & Ensemble, Directing, Writing, Picture Editing – Comedy, Cinematography – Single-Camera Series, Production Design – Contemporary, and Costume Design – Contemporary.
Other winners in the comedy series categories were Jean Smart for Best Actress in Hacks and Michael J. Fox as Guest Actor for Shrinking.
In the drama series categories, The Pitt was the second-most honored with 10 awards, including Drama Series along with awards for Noah Wyle in Lead Actor, Drama Casting & Ensemble, Directing, Writing, Picture Editing – Drama, Makeup – Prosthetic, Makeup – Contemporary, Sound Mixing – Series, and Sound Editing – Series.
Other drama winners were Rhea Seahorn for Best Actress in Pluribus, Tom Pelphrey for Supporting Actor in , Christine Baranski in The Gilded Age for Supporting Actress, Jeremy Irons for Guest Actor in The Morning Show, and Shailene Woodley for Guest Actress in Paradise.
On the movie and limited/anthology series side, DTF St. Louis won Limited or Anthology Series while Remarkably Bright Creatures took the Motion Picture category. The latter also picked up the Actress prize for star Sally Field while the former nabbed Supporting Actor and Supporting Actress for David Harbour and Linda Cardellini respectively. Beef won for star Oscar Isaac in lead along with the casting/ensemble and directing awards while The Beast in Me took the writing prize.
