The nominations for the 25th Annual OFTA Television Awards have been announced.
Best Drama Series nominee The Mandalorian earned twenty-two nominations this year, the most nominated program of the season. In second place among was Best Drama Series nominee The Crown with 21 nominations followed by Best Drama Series nominee Lovecraft Country.
Limited series WandaVision was fourth with 19 nominations with comedy series Ted Lasso and drama series The Handmaid’s Tale tied for fifth with 17 apiece.
Competing against The Crown, The Handmaid’s Tale, Lovecraft Country, and The Mandalorian for Best Drama series are The Boys (12), The Falcon & the Winter Soldier (12), Perry Mason (13), and Pose (8).
Joining WandaVision in the limited or anthology series category are Fargo (9), I May Destroy You (9), It’s a Sin (5), Mare of Easttown (13), The Queen’s Gambit (15), Small Axe (6), and The Underground Railroad (13).
In Best Comedy Series, Ted Lasso was nominated alongside Cobra Kai (14), The Flight Attendant (10), Girls5eva (8), Hacks (10), Mythic Quest (6), Rutherford Falls (3), and Pen15 (4).
Among Best Motion Pictures Made for Television nominees, Oslo was tops with 3 citations. It will compete against 7500 (1), Black Box (1), Psych 2: Lassie Come Home (1), Robin Roberts Presents: Mahalia (1), Sylvie’s Love (1), Uncle Frank (2), and Unpregnant (1).
The winners will be announced on Sunday, September 26, 2021.
